Veruschka, born Vera von Lehndorff, was a German aristocrat turned model whose striking features and towering height would reshape the “typical” fashion model aesthetic. Veruschka frequently modelled for designers like Emilio Pucci, Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent so her presence at Mare Moda was no surprise. Woodward captured this close-up at the end of the runway as she posed for the audience.
