Amidst the chaos of the first-ever Mare Moda Capri, models Veruschka (born Vera von Lehndorff) and Marisa Berenson slip away to a terrace for a quieter moment. Mare Moda Capri was an extraordinary fashion event organized by Rudi Crespi and Giorgio Pavone that drew the era’s top designers to the island. While there is much documentation of the event the following year, very little exists for its debut… until now.
Photos like this were the ones Woodward loved most: no stylist nearby, no direction being called - simply beauty caught in a raw, unguarded moment.
