Photographed at Certosa di San Giacomo, when the 14th century monastery was transformed into a catwalk for Mare Moda Capri. The first edition of Mare Moda Capri was held in September 1967, and despite being soaked by rain, it came to be seen as a momentous fashion event. Mare Moda Capri drew in the era’s top designers: Valentino Garavani, Emilio Pucci, Paco Rabanne, Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Cardin, and more! While the second edition of the event is heavily documented, photos from its debut are fare more scarce.
