In 2021, Serena, Orator’s daughter, found thousands of negatives in boxes. Her father was 60 when she was born, and despite seeing him as an interesting man, she always saw him as a simple, curious father. When she discovered these boxes, and immediately saw folders with the words “Lily Pulitzer Southampton, NY 1965”, and “Dalí at Home in Cadaques”, she realized that there was another universe of life to get to know about her father. The first publication from this series is all about Serena’s journey to getting to know her father, uncovering sides that perhaps no child is supposed to see, but perhaps in this case meant to see.
